Winter Skill Training with ASC

Hello ASC,

The club will be holding its winter skill training again this year for all ASC players.  This is a great way for the players to keep their foot on the ball through the winter and improve their individual skills.  Each team will train one day per week for 14 weeks.  The sessions will be 2 hours for U11-U14 and 1 1/2 hours for EDP. It will run from January 10th-April 15th at NH Sportsplex (formally Rising Stars) in Bedford, NH.  We looked into other facilities and we are getting more than twice the time for the same price as other locations.

The cost for Upper club teams (U11-U14) is $250 and for EDP is $175.  Even if you cannot make every week it is still a great deal.  We are looking to get a count of players that will be participating in the training so we can determine nights.
 
Please email your team manager to let them know either way by November 10th. 

These are tentative days and times depending on number of players participating:

Monday 6:00-8:00

Tuesday 7:00-9:00

Wednesday 6:00-8:00

Thursday 6:00-8:00

Friday 5:00-8:00

Souhegan Soccer Kicks Off Playoff Runs

SOUHEGAN SOCCER KICKS OFF PLAYOFF RUNS

·         This Tuesday the Souhegan HS girls start their playoff run with a game at home at 5:30.  We would like to encourage the ASC community to support the girls by coming to the game.  Wear your ASC gear and show your soccer spirit.  We are also looking for a few ball girls.  If you are interested being a ball girl please respond to Sheri Disco at bkduck@aol.com and either way, please come to support the team.

·         On Wednesday the boys start their playoffs with a game at home at 3:00.  It would be great to see ASC fans in the stands, showing their spirit!!!

Please consider attending these games to support the local soccer community.

Indoor Soccer Session #1

In 2 weeks the Fall season will be over.  There will be a two month break before ASC will start indoor training in January.  For those players who would like continue to get touches on the ball, an indoor soccer session at the Hampshire Dome will begin shortly.

To be clear, Indoor sessions are not part of the ASC program.  I am looking at fielding a team(s) and the plan is to invite any interested players from the ASC u11 pool.  Depending on the number of interested players, 1 or 2 teams will be registered.  The first session start on Wed. Nov 10 and goes for 6 weeks.  The cost is $750 per team plus referee fees.  With 12-14 players on a team this will work out to around $75 per player.

ASC u11 Coed Scrimmage - Cemetery Field, Saturday @ 2:30pm

The Coed team has a scrimmage scheduled with Inti Soccer Academy out of Manchester at Cemetery Field on Saturday @ 2:30pm.

Inti Soccer Academy is a non-profit group which provides opportunity for Manchester youths, mostly from the immigrant community, to participate in a soccer program and receive academic assistance.  The Inti U9 team will be scrimmaging the EDP program in the morning.

If you are currently playing with the Coed team, please let me know if you will have any issue making the game on Saturday, so I can recruit replacement players.  If you have any questions please email or talk to me at practice this evening.  Thanks.

Monday 10/11 Practice CANCELED

Team:

Since everybody played three games this weekend and probably needs a little rest and break from soccer, we will be canceling practice on Monday evening.  We will have practice on Thursday as usual.

All three teams had a good tournament.  Each team had at least one tough game against a strong team and every team had good performances.  We are especially proud of the players for maintaining a good attitude and great sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

ASC u11 Goalie training - Thursday @ 5pm - Simeon Wilson

Team:

A number of players have expressed an interest in receiving some goalie training.  In order to accommodate those players, I will be holding a special goalie training session at 5:00 @ Simeon Wilson field before our regularly scheduled practice.

Any player is welcome to attend.  This does not mean you will have to play goalie at our games.

IF you would like to attend the training, THEN please reply to this email before 3:00pm tomorrow so I have an idea of how many players to expect.  If for some reason you cannot email me before 3:00pm then please call me on my cell phone at 603-493-7179 to let me know you will be attending.

Columbus Day Tournament Medical Release Form

Hi U11 Families,

In order for your child to play in the Nashua World Cup Columbus Day Tournament on October 8th-10th, we must have a signed Medical Release form as soon as possible.  Please print and complete the attached form and bring it with you to your game this weekend.  The team managers will be collecting the forms (I will not be at the CU11 game on Saturday, but Kate's father, John Hollister, will collect them in my place).  Please note that this form is different than the ASC Medical Release form you completed earlier in the fall. This one is specifically for the Columbus Day Tournament.
